Car Hauler & Equipment Trailer Rentals in Troy, IL

Why Book an Equipment Trailer Rental or Car Hauler?

This category covers two very different jobs: transporting a vehicle safely, and hauling heavy machinery to a job site. The right trailer depends on which one you are doing.

If you need to transport a vehicle, our car hauler tilt trailers are built for it. The tilt deck lowers to ground level so you can drive the vehicle straight on — no ramps to wrestle with, no risk of a low-clearance car bottoming out. The weight of the vehicle shifts the deck forward and it levels itself out. This makes loading faster and safer, especially for lowered cars, classic vehicles, or anything that would scrape on a traditional ramp trailer. Each tilt trailer comes with straps, axle straps, tire straps, J hooks, and a winch so you have everything you need to secure the vehicle properly. The same tilt decks make excellent toy haulers for ATVs, UTVs, and motorcycles.

If you need to haul heavy equipment, our equipment trailers are the right tool. The flat deck and included chains and binders are purpose-built for securing skid steers, mini excavators, tractors, and other heavy machinery. These are the trailers contractors use to move equipment between job sites without paying a hauling company. Find our location and contact info on the home page.

Rentals are flat daily rates with no mileage fees, so you pay for the days you have the trailer rather than how far you drive it. Both vehicle transport and equipment hauling are covered by the same straightforward pricing — pick up the trailer at our lot in Troy, use it for your project, and return it when the job is done.

Choosing the Right Size

For vehicles, choose between our two tilt trailers: the 22ft tilt hauler holds up to 7,500 lbs and handles most standard cars and SUVs. The 24ft tilt hauler handles up to 11,000 lbs, making it the right choice for larger trucks, lifted vehicles, or heavier equipment.

For heavy machinery, our 22ft equipment trailer holds up to 13,000 lbs for 3/4 ton and up vehicles (7,000 lbs for 1/2 ton) and comes with chains and binders included. Our 24ft equipment trailer handles up to 17,000 lbs for the heaviest loads. Both come with straps, chains, and binders available upon request.

The right choice comes down to the weight of what you are moving and the towing capacity of your vehicle. A longer deck does not help if the loaded weight exceeds the trailer's rating, and a higher capacity trailer does not help if your tow vehicle cannot pull it safely. Match the trailer to the load first, then confirm your vehicle is rated for the combined weight.

Towing Requirements

All trailers in this category require a 2 5/16 inch ball hitch, a 7-pin plug, and a brake controller. Because of the extreme weights involved, the equipment trailers specifically require a 3/4 ton truck or larger towing vehicle to safely reach full capacity on the highway. The 22ft tilt can be towed by a properly equipped half ton. Not sure if your vehicle is set up for it? Check our towing requirements guide before you book.
