Why Rent an Enclosed Trailer?
Enclosed trailer rentals provide covered space for moving, transporting, and protecting belongings, equipment, and other loads from weather and road debris. KD Trailer Rentals offers two enclosed trailer sizes in Troy, IL, with daily and weekly rental options.
An enclosed cargo trailer can be useful for moving furniture and belongings, transporting equipment, or hauling items that you don't want exposed to rain, dirt, and road debris. For many local moves, an enclosed trailer is a practical moving truck rental alternative when you already have a properly equipped vehicle capable of towing. The right choice depends on the size and weight of your load, your towing vehicle, and how much enclosed space you need.
KD Trailer Rentals offers both 5x10 and 22ft enclosed trailers, so you can choose the cargo trailer that fits your particular load. Start your reservation process through our booking page. If you're considering an enclosed trailer instead of a moving truck, see our U-Haul alternative in Troy, IL to compare the options.
Choosing the Right Enclosed Trailer Size
KD Trailer Rentals offers two enclosed trailer sizes so you can choose based on the amount and weight of what you're transporting.
The 5x10 enclosed trailer has a 2,500 lb capacity and is the smaller option for customers with lighter or smaller loads. It includes E-track and straps for securing your cargo.
The 22ft enclosed trailer has a 7,500 lb capacity and provides substantially more enclosed space for larger loads. If you need more information about the 22ft option, see our dedicated 22-foot enclosed trailer rental page.
If you're deciding between an enclosed trailer and a moving truck, our trailer vs. moving truck guide explains the differences to help you choose based on your situation.
Enclosed Trailer Towing Requirements
The 5x10 enclosed trailer requires a 2-inch ball hitch, 7-pin plug, and brake controller.
The 22ft enclosed trailer requires a 2 5/16-inch ball hitch, 7-pin plug, and brake controller.
Before renting, make sure your towing vehicle is properly equipped and rated for the trailer and the loaded weight of your cargo. If you're unsure what your vehicle needs, see our trailer towing requirements guide before requesting a trailer.
