What an Equipment Trailer Is Used For

Equipment trailers are designed for transporting machinery and heavy equipment. KD's equipment trailer options can be used for equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, tractors, scissor lifts, and other appropriate loads, provided the equipment and total loaded weight are within the trailer's verified capacity.

Two of KD's equipment trailer options use a tilt deck for drive-on loading. The conventional equipment trailers provide a traditional equipment-hauling configuration. Straps, chains, and binders are available upon request so you have what you need to secure heavy machinery properly.

Rentals are flat daily rates with no mileage fees. You pay for the days you have the trailer, not how far you drive it. Pick it up at our lot at 407 E US Highway 40 in Troy and bring it back when the job is done.

Choosing the Right Equipment Trailer

The right equipment trailer depends on the weight and size of your machinery and the capabilities of your towing vehicle.

The 22ft Equipment Trailer has a 7,000 lb capacity for a 1/2-ton vehicle and a 13,000 lb capacity for a 3/4-ton vehicle or larger.

The 24ft Equipment Trailer has a 17,000 lb capacity.

KD also offers 22ft and 24ft equipment tilt trailers with 7,500 lb and 11,000 lb capacities respectively.

Towing Requirements

Every equipment trailer on this page requires a 2 5/16 inch ball hitch, a 7-pin plug, and a functioning brake controller in your towing vehicle. A 3/4 ton truck or larger is required to reach the full capacity of the 22ft and 24ft trailers. Before you book, verify that your vehicle is properly equipped and rated to handle the loaded weight of the trailer plus your machinery.
